About the Opportunity

BNP Paribas Group currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Client Service Team Lead to join our team on a full-time basis. Though we are currently working remotely, the successful candidate will be expected to be based within or relocate to the province of Quebec. This position is based in Montreal and is part of a US/Canada team.

Reporting to the VP Client Service Manager, you will handle staff management, operational team coordination activities and act as the SME & Training coordinator for eBanking products & solutions. You will coordinate client onboarding for new clients from deal inception to rollout of Cash Management & Trade Services platforms and final handover to CSD, and you will be the implementation owner for our Corporate Banking Cash Management and Trade Finance e-Banking suite of products. You will also provide the “Americas” corporate clientele with support for complex eBanking issues/topics related to their eBanking Corporate Banking products. More specifically, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating client onboarding and implementing new products and services for clients
  • Supporting complex issues faced by clients (assisting to test files, providing UAT support, escalating to other teams when appropriate, etc.)
  • Coordinating training and knowledge transfer initiatives of eBanking products & solutions across the Client Service teams
  • Directly managing a staff team of 5-6 people, acting as workflow coordinator and facilitating the allocation of client requests received among the team
  • Coordinating cash management clients’ implementation process: launching the implementation process that will enable the onboarding of the client and following its progress until client is created in the Bank’s systems
  • Coordinating cash management clients’ KYC recertification process 
  • Facilitating preparation of legal documents and forms relating to the various Cash Management and trade services offered by BNP Paribas
  • Assisting the team in providing day to day support for clients and internal teams on technical and complex eBanking Product, file support questions relating to the Cash Management and trade services offered by BNP Paribas 
  • Leading projects in collaboration with Local IT and The Cash Management and trade product managers when required
  • Providing high quality presentations of the BNP Paribas E-Banking tools during RFP responses and training phase of Client implementation projects
  • Handling of all incoming queries/requests via phone/email channels and logging all requests on the tracking tool used
  • Maintaining expertise on all product lines and systems supported/used by the team, and continually acquiring new knowledge relating to the E-Banking products offered by BNP Paribas
  • Participating in department meetings and other bank activities
  • Handling other tasks and projects which may be assigned by manager from time to time

Note: This role requires availability to supervise staff in various shifts from 8AM to 6PM EST, as well as any staff on overtime duty. Availability to work on Canadian and US holidays and on weekends as required.

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, IT, Finance, Accounting or other related field, as well as 4 years of work experience in the field of banking operations/client service/cash management. Experience in legal documentation and/or project management, as well as 1-2 years of experience in a management position would be strong assets. Fluency in English as well as in Spanish or French (both written and spoken) is required. Fluency in Portuguese would be an asset.

As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with a good working knowledge of Cash products (Payment Structure, SWIFT, etc.) and a basic understanding of Trade products (LCs, SBLCs, BGs, etc.). You will also have working knowledge of Computers/Systems/Electronic Banking Platforms/ERP Systems, and be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PPT). 

You have effective time management skills, are able to work accurately under pressure and with precision in a fast-paced environment. Likewise, you are resourceful and creative, and have the ability to work in a highly autonomous team environment with minimal supervision. Above all, you have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, are a highly effective communicator, and are eager to use your skills to deliver excellent results for our organization.
