About the Opportunity

BNP Paribas Group currently has an exciting opportunity available for a proactive Client Support Services Specialist (Night Shift) to join our team on a full-time basis. Though we are currently working remotely, the successful candidate will be expected to be based within or relocate to the province of Quebec. The job position is based in Montreal and the night shift specialist has to ensure client support service coverage for Payment & Clearing Solutions from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

The USD Clearing & Payment middle office function is performed by Client Support Services (CSS), which is a group reporting into Payment & Clearing Solutions (PCS). CSS is responsible for the management of risks, client reporting and analytics as well as supporting Network Clearing North America (NCNA) and Product Management by ensuring full transparency of limits, funding and operations bookings.

Your core responsibilities are as follows: 

  • Proactively monitoring and supporting the U.S. dollar clearing client base
  • Managing and overseeing credit, funding and transaction limits 
  • Managing client's reporting and analytics
  • Acting as a liaison between the back office and client/front office, as needed

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Serving as a main contact point for the network and helping resolve all issues related to the USD/CAD clearing business
  • Supporting the overall day to day business relationships of BNPP Network, USD and CAD Network Clearing Clients at an account level
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders in the business as required
  • Driving processing efficiency by improving the overall USD straight through processing rate to over 95% at the client level
  • Driving customer satisfaction by working closely with our clients to improve the service provided to them 
  • Escalating service level inquiries as appropriate
  • Overseeing key control processes with respect to billing, risk and management reporting, at the client level
  • Reviewing and analyzing reports related to client’s activities, i.e. wire transfers, and non-payment SWIFT messages
  • Recommending and monitoring KPI’s and ensuring that SLA’s turnaround times are being met
  • Making recommendations for procedural changes where deemed necessary
  • Analyzing various control reports and making recommendations for efficiency gains 
  • Keeping abreast of changes in both reporting and operations to meet/enhance the demands of our clients
  • Working with stakeholders to understand their data and how it can best be leveraged to meet client’s requirements
  • Providing additional insights into data trends through analyzing and understanding the patterns within the various data sets
  • Investigating issues, determining root causes and obtaining resolutions
  • Making direct contributions to the BNPP operational permanent control framework

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 3 years of banking experience with a minimum of 2 years in Correspondent Banking, Payment Operations and/or Cash Management Product within a major bank active in USD Clearing. Solid understanding of international wires transfers, SWIFT and local clearing systems in addition to Funds Transfer operations as well as the rules and regulations which govern it will be considered strong assets to have. Experience with Tableau data visualization, Power BI and Python coding is an asset. Fluency in French would be an asset.

You have outstanding interpersonal, multi-tasking and organizational skills, in addition to being detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure. You are proactive in seeking information, challenging norms and driving efficiency with the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision. Advanced analytical reporting skills along with technical computer skills, specifically in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint are required.
